Here's another account of our young team of evangelists revisting a village where we previously witnessed many mighty works of the Lord.


MAITUM OUTREACH
3rd week Feb 2014

Everyone was spiritually excited of going to Upo Malalag, Maitum. We've been there before and preached for one and a half an hour. And now, we turn back again and plan to stay there for seven (7) days but it was six days shortened.

Upo is a national high school where most of the students are christian already and the Word of God is very welcome to them anytime in their school. Our one day outreach means so much to us in our christian life and also to the people and students there :). This was how it happened;

The team ride on a jeepney (a private service for ministry owned by a Chinese business woman) and along the way, the battle begin or what we so called the “spiritual realm.” Instead of sleeping while waiting for arrival, we did prayer, worship and praising God, binding the principalities and powers.

Arriving at Upo, we went straight to the school and asked the teacher about the place of where can we possibly gather the people. So the teacher told her two (2) students to accompany us. These young ladies lead us to the house of a pastor named Danny. Ate Vennie and Kuya June talked to brother Danny. They found out that this man was doing also a mission out of church building. He went to the mountains and good thing also is that when he preach, he doesn't bring or introduce any denomination not even the name of the church were he minister. After the conversation, because we have no place to spent our night, this man allowed us to sleep in their church building just beside of their house and he also allowed us to use their cottage. See how God blesses us :). Praise God.

We went back to the school and then and again, asked the teacher if we can have their small time sharing the Word of God. We divided the team into two. One for the high school and the other one for the elementary.

IN ELEMENTARY

When we went to elementary, we asked the teacher if we can preach to the pupils and we have given the chance to speak to grade six (6) only which is the graduating class. All of us speak. Some of them listen but there are also some who didn't. Addressing of sins, repentance, conditional love of God, salvation, heaven and hell and some words of encouragement are the things that the Lord want them to hear through us. After preaching, God convict us to offer prayer for the sick and other requests. Then the pupil of that classroom came forward and asked them about their concerns and we knew that some of them wanted prayer for their family/parents because of fighting many times. Ate Vennie is the one who pray for those with family problems and me and my other companion for those with different illness.

CHILDREN LONGING FOR PEACEFUL FAMILY

As ate Vennie gathered all children she told them some things concerning their family and they started to pray. You can really see in your eyes their longing for a happy family. Their parents always fought with each other so they asked the Lord these things to be settle. God did something in their lives and hope came in each of them. HALLELUJAH for His goodness and faithfulness :).

HEARTACHE & PAIN due to BAD KIDNEY CONDITION GONE!

When we pray for the sick, it is very important that the one that we pray for has a faith and not just by the one who pray. As what the scripture have said;
Hebrews 11:6, “ .. without faith it is impossible God.” And these pupil who suffers from difficulty in breathing and the other one suffers from pain because of wrong kidney condition already received the faith that God will going to heal them. This how it happened;
While praying, they repent and ask the Lord for forgiveness and then they cried and as we pray for their health conditions believing that God will going to heal them, it did so happened. WOW! They both testified that there's
really different happened before and after the prayer. Heartache and pain instantly gone. Hallelujah! Praise God for his faithfulness.

ITCHY AND PAINFUL DETERIORATING SKIN GONE!

I really don't know what's the term for this condition of this young girl but I will just describe it. Its like a wound on her feet that is about to recover but it also looks like degenerated, very itchy and painful, and the smell was really very stinky. At first, I refuse to hold it but then God rebuked me suddenly so I repent, and then I started to pray and gave my full trust to God regarding her condition. While praying, the girl cried and right after the prayer, irritation on her feet gone and also the pain. Wow! To God be all the glory.

CATHOLIC GIRL WITH TOOTHACHE

At the very first, I don't know that she's a catholic. When we pray, nothing happened and then I saw catholic thing on her neck so I told her about God's wrath on those who worship idols and false gods. I told her to remove the necklace but she didn't, so I pray no more. There's no healing happened but I know in my heart, seed was being planted in her heart. Praise God.

IN HIGH SCHOOL

As the team was being divided, this is now the testimony of our companion that went to high school; All of us speak and as the Lord tell us the Word, we also tell it to them that listen. Students there really listen, they look at you, and the Word of God penetrates on their heart and while listening, tears starts to fall down from their eyes. We did also encouraged them to continue to seek the Lord and then we pray for them and then we told them if they are willing to attend the crusade at night and they said yes with radiant faces smiling. Hallelujah!

THREE BLASPHEMER REPENTED

When we come out in that room, we heard three students from that room playing music that blasphemed the name of the Lord. We approached them and told to them that what they did was wrong. So were having a bible sharing again concerning the thing and they listened and they told us that they don't know that the song they are singing is a blasphemous before the Lord. They just knew it when we told them. The sharing continue and then we pray and they repented. Then we left and they are very thankful for what happened. :) Praise God.

CRUSADE (at JALOSJOS BUILDING)

When we return to the place where we stay, we asked the Lord for the next instructions. Then again, we divide the team. The other invite people for crusade and half of the team prepare for our dinner. They use a speaker and a microphone in inviting so that it would be easier for us to invite those household that relatively far. When they come back, the food is ready and we all eat and prepare for crusade.

It's 7:00 o'clock in the evening and the team are already in the said building. The boys set the lights on, play some music while waiting for people to come. We scattered and did pray for God's leading of each of us. We did also worship and then we pray. Many people attended the crusade. Some are old, some are young and some also are children. We started the preaching. All of us speak. Addressing of sins, sharing our different life testimonies, repentance, conditional love of the Lord, God's goodness and even the camouflage of most Christians today. We also preached about false teaching, about the cross and the existence of heaven & hell.

After preaching, we pray for repentance and many of them who suffers from different kinds of sickness such as headache, cough, fever, and many more healed in the name of JESUS. There are also prayer request for their family from a far and also family problem.

It was pass 9:00 o'clock, when some of the people attended the crusade left. Many young people was still there so we talked to them. By that time they also shared to us about their life testimonies. The conversation was very interesting seeing young people asking many things about God. There are also some of them told us that they want also to be train and preach the Gospel. One of them was a fourth year student and she's a lesbian then one of us shared to her about the spirit that was in her at that time. She listened and she said that she was so blessed about the Word that God gave her.

Before we left they invited us to speak after their flag ceremony in the morning so we grabbed the chance of spreading the Word. Everyone of us including the students went back to their home with so much joy in our hearts.

HIGH SCHOOL FLAG CEREMONY

7:00 o'clock in the morning, we went to high school for they have invited us to speak after their flag ceremony. When we arrived there, wow we are very surprised seeing Richel, the lesbian girl wearing her lady dress. Her classmate testified to us that, its the very first time that they saw Richel wearing complete uniform in her high school life. Now she's forth year. Amen! :) The teacher's of that school was also amazed for the revival of her life and that's because of God alone. After we speak to them we also gave them chance to speak. Many wants to speak but their confidence was not yet develop so we encourage them to trust God in everything. We also encourage them to continue and have a bible sharing and preach also to those that are still in darkness and love each other as sisters and brothers in Christ. We are so happy for everything that God did to that place.

HALLELUJAH! To God be the glory, praise and adoration for we are nothing without Him.
