Many Miracles up The "goddess of evil Mountain"

Revival at Mt Dewata – The goddess of evil

The Pablo Typhoon hit this area 5 weeks ago killing over a 1,000 people.
Today is our third day high up mount Dewatat (the goddess of evil). We are here with a small but dedicated team of 5. Such a dark and occultic place. The chairman here said
"no one has come here with the gospel for 4 yrs", incidentally, 2 of that team happened to be in our team now.

A young military friend had already told us that right after the typhoon hit he had been assigned in a patrol for food relief distribution among the displaced when they were ambushed by female NPA (New People’s Army) rebels, 7 of the military teenager recruits were shot dead and 10 wounded. You can imagine the place is emotionally raw, deep mud and we walk a lot because many of the roads are virtually gone.

Now I’ll describe as best as possible the situation in the Spirit. We are humbled and amazed at the grace and compassion of our Lord Jesus Christ towards these lost and traumatised sheep, 40,000 miners and families live in this area alone.

We preach to any group, school, household we can. The Lord has given us such favour. On arrival we met a total stranger who is one of the few that could even accommodate 7 people yet she immediately invited us to her home and so has housed and fed us since we came. We cover all the expenses and she arranges food, water & bedding. Albeit, several of the team are sleeping on the floor. There are no rooms to rent up this mountain so straightaway our leading to come is confirmed by this woman's abundant hospitality.

Since arriving we just stop and preach and have witnessed many come to Jesus, so many broken hearts healed. Deaf have heard, deaf & dumb have spoke, lame are walking, blind eyes are seeing. Again, cancer has disappeared before our eyes. A little boy wept “He healed me, He really healed me.

Wed nite We prayed for a woman whose daughter was to have a large lump removed yesterday morning. At pre-theater check the lump disappeared!
People who have spent a lot for years with no relief Jesus heals them immediately. A cancer lump and a goiter both disappeared before our eyes. Two cases of TB instantly healed, a roaring in the ears – gone, rapidly moving eyeballs – stopped. Several deaf healed immediatly when a deaf spirit was commanded to leave them. The town sceptic came to one such open air meeting. He was one of the first in the line to be prayed with for  chronic shoulder in jury. He was one of the first to testify that Jesus had completely healed him. We did not know that this man was antogonistic to Christianity until after the meeting the locals told us about him.

Too many evidences of Christs grace to report here. We are really bowed down in our hearts in thankfulness to the Lord Jesus for directing us to Howard and Lesley who first brought us to Mindanao.

The fields are so white and the need so great, your prayers and any prayers you can muster are coveted and appreciated.

The Team (JM, Me, Vennie, George , Anne, Juralyn, Jhovan ) and Jane (in the yellow)
and her daughter. Jun Jun took the pic.

On Wednesday January 16th 2013 our team of 6 set off to Mount Dewata (Goddess of Evil)
To the town of Dewaal waal in the Compostela Valley. This area was trashed by Typhoon Pablo on December 4 2012
As it is far up the mountain , as far as we know no relief agencies had been up there.
Illegal gold mining is the sole occupation and darkness prevails. It reminded me of pictures of the Walled city in Kowloon Hong Kong. The place that Jackie Pullinger went to.
On the day of travel we found out that a barricade had been set up in a place we were due to go through over food distribution. The NPA (New People's Army) were not happy. We decided that we would loop round this area to avoid but fortunately we found out an hour later the barricade had been lifted. Praise The Lord!

Picked up another member of our team in Davao (Jhovan) a former drug addict now head of an independent work mentoring youth in prayer and outreach. He can have as many as 15 youth staying with him for a few months at a time. Living completely by faith. His only income is producing a capsule made from the health giving, cancer fighting Malungay plant. All work is done manually but through Gods provision and blessing he manages to feed these boys and girls. Unfortunately many churches in his area tend to ignore this (new wine skin) work concentrating more on their buildings and congregation.
Mighty man of God . Jesus shines through him. He has a little girl called Shammah who unfortunately screams every time she sees the 'white' woman.
On our trip towards the place we could sense the spiritual atmospheres of the places we passed through. The dark places a weariness and tiredness would pass over me and then as soon as we left that area energy would come into me again. This happened several times.
Our last member of the team- Juralim ( Jo) was picked up in Upper Ulip close to our destination.
Arrived in Dewaal Waal, filthy place (Sodom came to mind) spiritually and physically. No electricity, lost my flip flops squelching through the mud. I have to get a decent pair of walking shoes!!
This picture above was taken out of our window where we were staying. The river running down was filled with poisonous mercury which is used in the gold processing. Drink the water here and you won't live long. Another process they use is cyanide, that's in there also. Not the healthiest place on earth to live!

On arrival one of the first places we went to was the school where we met Jane ( pictured above)
She instantly said to us you must come and stay with me. We had planned to stay in the car that night as we had no accommodation planned. The Lord had gone before us!
Her husband was the manager of a gold mine so they had a house which came with the job. Picture the scene ...... 6 girls and 2 men in one room. 2 single beds 1 with mattress 1 without. No windows pitch black because no electricity. George and I slept on the living room floor with a single mattress which I claimed.
Underneath our floor was a machine shop that had big rollers which smashed the ore containing the gold. The noise was incessant all night long. But you know what , with His grace we were so blessed. Thank you Lord that you have provided a roof over our head. Jane was a divine appointment. What an amazing woman!  The Lord had her in place so that we could meet.

First stop after dropping off our bags we found an the Assembly of God church. It was actually the only church that I saw whilst I was there. Small meeting with about 10 people. George prophesised over every one of them. There we met a woman called Yoli ( another divine appointment)
She wept when G prophesised over her. We know that The Lord will use her mightily in DeWaal Waal.
As we walked through the filthy muddy streets looking at the places where people's houses had been washed away by the Typhoon I noticed how warm and friendly the people were. Shouts of ' Hi Joe' ( all white people are Americanos and therefore called Jo to the Filipinos) whilst we walked along. Scores of children followed us. As we passed a school the whole class ( about 75 of them) came to the window and started to shout and wave. I said to Vennie ' This must be what the Queen of England feels like when she goes on walkabout!!

I loved the kids. Even though a lot of them were dirty and unkempt their faces shone. Many came up to ' bless' This is where a child will take your hand and press it to his forehead whilst bowing. He or she is honouring the elder. It is so sweet. You could see though in the older children that sin had started to creep in and they had lost that sweet innocence that you could see on the very young.
Over the few days we were there we would see the same children again and again. I loved them!
At the night our outreach was at a basketball court. Everything was set up ( our battery operated sound system) and it rained and rained. Hardly any people showed up but the team preached anyway. The devil didn't want us there. Dogs started to come on the stage fighting.
When the call was made for healing a few people started to filter onto the stage ( it was still raining at this point so the only dry place was the stage).A lady came with back pain and was instantly healed . She disappeared then returned with her  husband who was a sorry sight. Stroke 5 years ago, TB. We prayed and the men instantly felt better. The joy on his face was evident. The wife looked at him incredulously and exclaimed "you are so handsome"
The couple with Vennie - see the smile on his face!
Many men came on the stage that night as the word spread that Jesus was healing.
Great sadness and depression was on the men. Bad health due to chemical poisoning from being down the mines. Breathing problems from inhaling dust. Many of them, Jesus healed!

When we had finished Jane said ' dinner is prepared' another blessing! We dined by solar light
Oh I was so picky when I first came to Philippines. Now I can eat ' almost anything' The Lord is narrowing me in and stripping away so I will look up and concentrate on Him. Not on my comforts or my plans - only Him!

The bathroom was very very small and water very short so I didn't have a proper shower for 3 days. We had one towel between us which I had a swicked off JM and there wasn't a shower!
The house previously with the old manager had been used as a drug den ( the popular drug there is Shabu) where we slept was where the old manager slept. Janes husband commented ' look this house was once used for evil but now this team have come and now this house will be used for good ' Amen!

Next morning we headed for the schools for more outreach. Many more raised their hands to receive the Lord, teachers & pupils alike. After the school everybody was hungry . Where to eat?
Vennie stopped at a little stall , spoke to the woman in their dialect and informed us that the lady said we could eat in her house and Vennie would cook it!! Filipinos are the most hospitable people in the world!
A table was put in the middle of the room. Chairs found. It was above a gold processing place so the rollers were smashing the ore under the floor. You had to shout to make yourself heard. It was dim and gloomy as no electric. The CR ( toilet) was outside overlooking a sheer drop, no door and no toilet, just a hole. If you stood near the wash hand basin the vibrations from the machinery below made you think the floor was going to cave in. To top it all the woman was an occultist( we could see that by the medallion round her neck) we had a prayer time round the table . Freaked her out when everybody started to shout in tongues ha ha!!
It wasn't the Ritz , it wasn't even Joes greasy spoon but we were thankful and blessed.
How much more we have flexibility of spirit when we don't expect our creature comforts to be met and we know we are being obedient and fulfilling the great commission.
After lunch the team preached in the open air. I noticed a kid , probably only about 6 . Kept his fingers in his ears for the whole meeting! Interestingly, his mother received a miraculous healing

from pain from post op sterilisation. Look at the pic of the boy. You can see there are issues. Poor thing!
One woman healed of a bad chest after we cast out a spirit of nicotine. Deaf man healed
Woman's foot healed. Woman with goitre, the swelling went down.
Woman who had an old shoulder injury was healed.
We then went walkabout again. People starting to get to know us now. When you are white in the Philippines people will stare at you but in this place it is to a new level. As you pass the houses (hovels) people will stop what they are doing and will openly stare and point.
We stopped at a couple of gold mines. These mines can sometimes be under a persons house so that they can keep guard on it

By this time the team were getting tired but we still had one more venue to go. We retired to an empty school to have a prayer time. Hard to keep awake. Six pm The team preached on a corner on a very busy area. Secular music was played to draw the people. Many people started to come. The preaching was with fire and nearly the whole crowd raised their hands to accept Jesus. One amazing healing was a young girl got her hearing back when G commanded a deaf spirit to leave her, she wept openly.
Many young people there listened to the truth of the gospel.
They were hungry and thirsty. In a place where there is no hope it appeared by their demeanour that maybe this is what they have been looking for. The chairman in that place told us that nobody had been there. The last missionaries were 4 years ago and that included 2 of our team!
It appears that people are frightened to go up there because of the corruption the illegal gold mining and the occult activity. At no point did any of us have any fear. In fact the powers of darkness did not affect any of us which is unusual. I believe we were in the centre of our Fathers will and we were appointed to go there and we were under the protective shadow of His wings. This was confirmed by the people He put in our path to bless us and to make it slightly more comfortable for us.

THURSDAY
The next day after a cold night (Thank you Lord) after the incessant heat of General Santos I was very thankful, we heard that a lady had asked for prayer for her little child who was in hospital the previous night. The child had a growth on his back and was about to be operated on. But, just prior to the op beginning the doctors saw the lump had disappeared. Praise Jesus!
A lady came up requesting prayer for her husband who worked away from home. He had arthritis and TB. When she phoned him the next day he reported that sickness had left his body and that he was feeling much better than usual!! She said thank you for the ' Flying Healing'

FRIDAY
Last day in DeWaal waal. The team preached in the open air at the bus terminal. Hardest places to preach as strangely this is where we find darkness gathers ( airports, train stations etc ).
One girl in particular was very hostile and a Jehovah's Witness man also. George spoke to both of them and you could see them melt as he spoke lovingly to them.
A construction worker with a bad back was healed in the street when we prayed.
Later on we returned to the terminal to find a place to eat and the man healed brought 3 of his workmates with him whilst we were eating lunch. They asked if it was too late for them to be prayed with also. Jesus healed them all.

We then went to Janes school where she is a teacher. George spoke to the teachers and the team ministered to the classrooms of kids. All the teachers accepted Jesus apart from one ( Jehovah's Witness).
We were supposed to leave the Compostela Valley today but Jane wanted us to minister in her place Mamunga.
We hadn't been in the car 10 minutes when again like last time we got a puncture. Hardly surprising as the roads are shocking. Worst ones I have ever been on.
Time was not wasted tho as a group of people were walking up the mountain and stopped to try and help us. Jhovan then started to preach to them.

On arrival in Mamunga we all settled into her house. A step up in luxury. The 6 girls were to sleep in the front room , the 2 men to share with Janes son and nephew and we had a room of our own on a bed!
That night the preaching was in an open area with a stage. We sensed the place was spiritually cleaner not like Dewaal waal with its pervading evil atmosphere. Only Jhovan and JM preached but very anointed. Many lined up to be healed by The Lord Jesus Christ.
The most amazing healing was in Anne and JM s line. A little boy about 10 had tinnitus in one ear for years. JM and Anne prayed for him. He started to cry and say "God has healed me." He went up on the stage to testify and many children were weeping in the audience as he spoke.
Many people healed that night. A little Downs Syndrome boy (about 4) came up with his grandmother. He was completely demonised. First time I have seen that in a Downs syndrome person. I prayed for him but knew that much prayer and fasting would have to be done before the boy could be free. He was a poor wee soul. Interestingly the first thing he said to me was YAWA. Means devil!
