THE FUNNIEST HEALING

As mentioned in an earlier post we returned to a mountain top community to encourage the new believers there and share the gospel with all that had still not heard it.

We were very pleasantly surprised to learn just how many had held to their faith and were thankful for the peace of mind they now enjoyed. Further, several testified that they still held their healing from the time we prayed with them.

Here is one such case of both an amazing and quite funny miracle the Lord brought to one family.

But, first let me paint the picture to you of what exactly it means to be sick when

 a) You live up a mountain with little access to the clinic in the valley below and

b) You have no money to pay for that clinic when you get there.

So, for the most part the sick here will suffer in fear and silence till the body heals itself, someone lends them money to visit the clinic or they die. Sadly, this latter alternative is what stole the life of our precious friend here just two weeks ago. Though we see many healed from asthma Filey, our friend, a wife, mother and also our team cook, took a severe asthma attack and had no money to attend the clinic. Had we been here we could have done something. But she got worse and eventually someone was prepared to take her in their vehicle down to the clinic the cost would have to be resolved later. Filey at the age of 42 died with a massive asthma attack only 3 miles out of the village and still a long way off from the hospital. So, the fact that the Lord has led us up this mountain to preach Christ crucified and prove His power because He confirms His word by healing the sick. Which is causing no small stir here and the people are keen to listen. So although I’m relaying a humorous healing life and death is but a mere blurred line for the poor among us.

So was the case with this family. After our small team had preached, almost everyone in the village responded with a prayer of repentance. Then as usual high up in a cloud shrouded mountain peak we offered to pray for the sick. Every responded excitedly, Healing for free? Really! Among them was a family of three grown up sisters.

The first sister we prayed with is late twenties and a young mother, she was suffering from migraine head & shoulder pain for a week and was also experiencing a lot of anxiety. Jesus touched her there and then, all pain and stress lifted off her. She was openly delighted.

Her child had fever which also instantly left in Jesus name.

Next, was her younger sister. She is in her early twenties and had for some time being feeling unwell, vomiting blood ongoing.  Immediately after prayer she testified that she felt something different like a cool wind came inside her. She told us this second trip she has never vomited blood again after we prayed during our first visit.

Then a younger sister still was prayed with for stomach pain. She is pregnant, losing blood and was worried about the baby. Just like her sister relief was instant as Jesus healed her also. He has such amazing grace!

 

SPEAK THE WORD ONLY

Mt 8:8  The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Mt 8:13  And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.

During our first trip here and after praying with these sisters they then they requested prayer for the mother who lay sick at home. Although a very thin woman, her stomach was growing ever larger, usually a tumour. And she was incapacitated on a crib with pain for some five years. All the family feared it was cancer. So, we laid hands on the eldest daughter and prayed by proxy for the mother; we have seen many healings occur this way.

SOMETHING BEGAN MOVING

On our return this family excitedly gathered around us to say thank you for coming and for all the miracles in their family. The wanted to share what happened after we had prayed in the mothers absence. The mother of course knew nothing about our first visit in the village or that prayer was offered for her by proxy through her daughters, all she knew was that she is just sat up in bed and then next something in her stomach seriously begins to move about, she was alarmed, this had never happened before, and what did it mean she wondered? If she was surprised by that event what happened next really freaked her out.  Before she could rise up she began to experience...

THE WORST GAS EVER

To put it mildly, she told us how she endured the single most violent episode of gas in her entire 60 years of life. The length and loudness of the gas escaping her body frightened her and the ensuing stench caused her to retch and almost vomit. She had no idea what was going on “It was like a demon trying to leave my body as fast as it could”. On the upside the huge mass in her stomach quickly shrank leaving her normal size. She was delighted but perturbed by what this all meant.

JESUS CAN WORK WHATEVER, WHERE EVER IF WE ASK HIM

And his servant was healed in the self same hour

When the daughters arrived at her home, before they could tell her their excitement of giving their lives to Christ & Christ then healing them, the mother was jabbering and spilled out everything that happened and she then showed them her new flat stomach. The girls rejoiced as they told their mother about the prayers that were offered for her and how the missionaries had commanded demons to leave her body in Jesus name. Praise God, she was delivered at the same time we had prayed. We laughed out loud when they told me this story. Although by Fathers dear grace we have seen many tumours immediately disappear, the cancer victim was before us as we prayed and although shocked at their instant healing, they couldn't have been as stunned as this lady, with no one present to explain what was happening to her. However, by her own account and her near vomiting at the odour I'm glad I wasn't there.. God is GOOD ALL THE TIME.. You can see by the photo of the mother that she still looks a little traumatised as regards what the Lord did for her.. 

Be encouraged there is no distance in spirit. You can ask the Lord for healing and tell devils to leave no matter where they are in the world in Jesus Name – Amen!
