Worship, Prayer & Binding the Strongman
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Psalm 95v2
The many salvations, miracles & discernments we see on our outreachs are the outcome of a sustianed abiding in the secret place of the most high, under the shadow of His wing. All of which is born in prayer, fasting, waiting & At 6am we huddle together in our unusually cold but welcome room and above the roar of the gold factory directly below us we begin again to give thanks, worship the Lord and intercede for a couple of hours. As we are led, we will pray for whatever is laid upon our hearts and others will agree as they are impressed to do so. There will be periods of “binding the strong man” and the ruling demon over the area and the wicked spirit controlling the communities we will be visiting that day. This practise along with repenting of the sins of the forefathers, as Daniel & Nehemiah did for Jerusalem, along with remitting and lifting the consequence and curse of the sins of others makes a real and noticeable difference. The very atmosphere is clearer and cleaner when we go preach.

Binding the Strongman
Psalm 149 vvs 6-9
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.
Previously, when we’ve arrived at a new location and simply “presumed” on God, expecting He will show up as usual without any worship and sustained prayer on our part first taking place. Then, usually, we find the outreach extremely hard and unfruitful work. The preaching is powerless and stuttered, the testimonies wander as does the attention span of the listeners, and further, there is little faith for prayer for the sick and little results also. Few respond to the invitation to repent and give their lives over to Christ. Overall, there is most definitely not a “feel good” at the close of an outreach that has not first been saturated in prayer. We leave the are feeling like whipped puppies in our soul.
We also pray on location before we begin sharing the gospel |
But, when we obey scripture and FIRST bind the strongman just as Christ has already delegated to us. The difference is really quite amazing. The preaching is with passion and fire, the testimonies roll out and the people resonate with them, typically, 90% will respond to the gospel invitation, 80% will respond to the offer of prayer for healing and 90%+ will experience Jesus healing them. The joy on departure is indescribable, we can say as Jacob said when he awoke from his dream of seeing angels ascending and descending “Truly God is in this place”.
Trashing the Strongmans house - This is what he plans to do to our lives |
Mark 3v27 No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
