“The Demon Spoke "My Name is Destroyer" and Tonight I’ll shed much blood in this place”

This post is revised having spoken to Geng again and clarified the details of what she saw

We travelled down by bus this morning, had been asked to preach at a church 25k out of town but we were not able to get there early enough so they asked if we could help them give local impoverished children some charity boxes. I learnt only as we walked in the door that it was actually a charity box giving and now that the missionaries were "A gospel outreach". Fine by us as  many of the local parents had been asked to attend their child’s gift giving.

That happens quite frequently here, you are invited somewhere for a coffe only to find out you are the guest speaker at an all day seminar, and today I was the visiting guest speaker. Phew! I hardly had a thought in my head and only 5 minutes to pray and get one. The Lord really helped as almost 40 people raised their hands to receive Christ. This was the adults.

We later went for dinner with that pastor and his wife. She told us that last October (2011) Whilst she slept she had an awful dream that a large black demon had come to the foot of her bed.  As she stared at him in horror he boldly declared "My name is Destroyer from Genaral Santos" " I have  come here to shed much blood in your place tonight".

Geng told us, that she could immediatly recall many things that had been obscured from her spiritual understanding till that moment.

a) She had been a mighty prayer warrior with many great spiritual breakthroughs

b) Her compassion for the uneducated local tribal children had led her to be their teacher AT the

    expense of her prayer life and her authority in the spiritual realm

c) She knew this as the reason this demon was now able to come and mock her as one that        

    could no  longer resist his murderous agenda because she no longer held him and his minions 

    bound. 

Obviously alarmed, she rebuked him and bound him in Jesus name, the thing turned, paused as if to defy her then slowly walked away as if indifferent to her rebuke. This is of particular interest to us since if we had to summarise our primary role for being here it’s this “To train & equip leaders in spiritual authority, to bind the strongman, take away his armour and spoil his house”. I can see she has discernment and authority but also she does not yet understand how to move in that authority, which is why this spirit would not flee as the scripture says he will.

Next morning the town was rife with the news of 3 separate murders of young people, one committed directly outside their church and another rape and murder just 500m from the church.

As we left the restaurant, this small group have committed to early Morning Prayer, worship and intercession with supplication. I prophecy change for this place also… We are planning to hold a crusade here shortly. Continued prayers for wisdom, guidance & protection appreciated.
