The Lord Provides an outreach Centre

A couple of weeks ago we preached at a Barangay at the foot of the Mountain. The Barangay. captain there (Community senior official) is the owner of the house and gold ball mill we reside at up in Diwalwal. At that meeting, which was attended by mostly Catholics, many responded to salavation through Christ alone and thankfully, the Lord Jesus again gave many healing miracles to confirm His word and presence. It was here that the dumb girl spoke.

The son of that Barangay captain also owns a property up Diwalwal that he previously used as an Internet cafe. He passed on a message that we were welcome to use the property for our outreach and so we went to check it.

Through a small dirty and dark entrance and up equally dirty concrete stairs we entered a large size hall sectioned off with around 30 booths for internet surfers. This will be a beneficial place for us to expand our outreach until such times as its required again by the owner. Already a team of volounteers have set about scrubbing and painting. The free use of this place can provide facilitate team accommodation, cooking, meetings etc.

That night, as part of our church planting mission, we asked some of the new converts who would like to join with us on this second nights gathering for worship & bible study. Again, approxamatly 30 souls appeared, including for the second time the drug dealer and his customer, two Muslims that had also both attended our first nights meeting, a few children, who particpate just as if they were adults.

We sang, we testified, two of them testified also, we shared Gods word and at close nobody wanted to leave. All are excited about the fact that regular meetings will be held in that place and will eventually spread out to different homes. One of the Muslim women asked us several times if it were possible we could find her a bible as she now believed Jesus is the way to God. She continues to text Jo daily expressing her love and her desire for us to return.
