L-R Soljecht, George & Salin

A relatively new convert and only baptised in the Holy Spirit a year ago. Great favour and anointing is also on this mans life. Shortly after receiving the Holy Spirit Sojecht was a guest at a wedding and began to testify to some of the other guests sat at the same table as him. The conversation developed such interest that soon he was asked to stand on a chair so that others could hear him. That night 75 people at the wedding gave their lives to Christ. Among them was an elderly Buddhist monk who next day returned to his village and immediately began preaching that Buddhism was wrong and that Jesus Christ was the way to salvation. Half the village also gave their lives to Christ.

Soljecht is a simple rice farmer and has little time or resources to leave his small fields and travel the country on his motorbike preaching and teaching at the different villages. But one day whilst exploring a forest short cut he discovered a town deep in the woods that was only accessible by motorbike. Once there Soljecht stopped at a roadside food place. He heard the owner speaking with 5 locals inquiring if any “knew any Christians, or about the God of the Christians or even how to become a Christian... sadly none of the 5 men had a reply to any of the questions the owner asked.

All the while Soljecht sat in silence thinking “I’m so busy I have no time to reach these people. If I say I am Christian they will also ask to become Christians and I can’t manage to teach anymore people.

Lastly, the owner said that since he heard of all the miracles that the God of the Christians was doing in the different villages he believed he also should become one. Soljecht could be quiet no longer but instead stood up and declared “I am a Christian” and I will tell you of Jesus, Gods son. They stared at him in amazement, but before they allowed him to speak the 5 listeners were dispatched to gather all the village. Soon 150 families crowded round that little forest eatery and heard the good news that Jesus is the Christ the son of God. The entire village responded to the call to repentance. Today we have just finished a meeting discussing how best to disciple these dear people. Jo & I are praying about living among them for a few days at least. Apparently a westerner has never before visited their place.
