WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE DIE
Do we sleep in the ground or do
we go to heaven – A brief rely as follows
THE LORD RETURNS WITH SAINTS - THEY WILL BE WITH HIM ALREADY
For if we believe
that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God
bring with him - 1 Thes 4: 14
And Enoch also, the
seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with
ten thousands of his saints Jude 14
THE DEAD KNOW NOTHING? REALLY
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any
thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten
Not entirely correct -
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the
angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in
hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and
Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me,
and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my
tongue; for I am tormented in this flame Luke 16:22-24 And the rich man remembered his 5 brothers
A multitude is in heaven
worshipping and awaiting for the kingdoms of this world to become the kingdoms
of our God.. - Rev chp 6 & 7 & 11:15
ABSENT FROM THE BODY PRESENT WITH
THE LORD - Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home
in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to
be present with the Lord.
Wherefore we labour,
that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him 2 Cor 5:6-9
WAS SLEEPING - NOW AWAKE
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept 1 Cor 15:20
Note: “THAT” SLEPT NOT “IS” SLEEPING.
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept 1 Cor 15:20
Note: “THAT” SLEPT NOT “IS” SLEEPING.
BE WITH CHRIST – NOT SLEEPING IN THE GROUND
For I am in a strait
betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far
better Phil 1:23
THOSE DEAD CAN STILL PETITION GOD
And when he had
opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain
for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with
a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and
avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth Rev 6:9
CONCLUSION
If we die as believers in Christ we go to Him until His return.
If we do not know the Lord, if we are not saved and forgiven of sin, when we
die, we go to hell and await the judgment day, when we will then be thrown into
the lake of fire for eternity…
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were
opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead
were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to
their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell
delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man
according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of
life was cast into the lake of fire Rev 20:11-15
MAKE SURE THAT YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE
LAMBS BOOK OF LIFE
TO ENTER HELL WHEN YOU DIE IS EASY
JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING
But the fearful, and unbelieving,
and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters,
and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire
and brimstone: which is the second death

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we
say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us 1 John
1:9,10
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee,
even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we
preach; That if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For
the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed Romans
8:8-11
