2 October -
Yesterday morning we turned up at a Muslim village, more surprise evangelism, sadly, most of the men were in the fields, but the 40 or so mostly women, listened eagerly to the hope of the gospel as we shared but 10 metres away from their mosque. When offerred they readily gave their lives to Jesus Christ following clear preaching that Jesus IS the son of God and there is salvation through Him and none other.
God confirmed His word with many amazing healings. Some where stamping feet that before would'nt walk well, others swung arms and stretched for the sky in relief as shoulder joints worn down with years of hard work were miracously restored, some swivelled from side to side and touched toes long since unreachable, a few were blinking, staring with restored eyes. Many just smiling because chronic pain or fever had left their body and their childrens body. All this when Jesus the son of God touched them. They were clearly amazed as we were when the Power of Jesus manifest among them. I could just imagine what it was like when Jesus walked the shores of Galilee doing miracles. They pleaded with us, some with tears, to return. Their open humility was humbling to say the least.
We did return to this place a few days later to be greeted by the chief and his very smiling, welcoming and happy wife. They were delighted to see us and introduced us to their two elder sons.
One was racked with coughing, was also quite cold and distant. He clearly was not sure about us. We spent some time, loving, sharing, talking about Jesus the son of God. We asked the cougher, next in line to be leader of this village if he'd like Jesus "The Son of God" (Mohammed said Allah has no son) to heal him of his condition. Reluctantly, but seemingly physically exhausted he agreed, explaining that his problem was also asthma. Jesus instantly healed him and he, now breathing very deeply for the first time in a long time, instantly dropped the attitude and became very warm and friendly. His brother received Christ as saviour with tears streaming down his cheeks.
